ZES expands into Gauteng (August 2010)
ZES has consolidated its operations in KZN and expanded into the Gauteng area. The Durban and Richards Bay offices have merged into one office operating out of the Durban base while a new office was opened in Randburg, Gauteng on 01 September 2010.
The objectives of the Gauteng office include the following:
- Expansion of provision of services in Gauteng
- Improved client service (existing clients)
- Growing the business
The Gauteng office will be managed by a new addition to the all female team at ZES, Ms Thandi Mfenqa. Thandi is a Chemical Engineer and has considerable experience in the environmental consulting field. We look forward to working with her.

ZES scoops Provincial Gauteng project (January 2010)
The Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD) awarded the contract to repair, manage and maintain seven ambient air monitoring stations in Gauteng to ZES in January 2010. The project encompasses the following phases:
Phase 1 • Repairing of faulty instruments in the 7 air quality monitoring stations
Phase 2 • Maintenance of the air quality monitoring stations for one year
Phase 3 • Capacity building of provincial and local authority officials
Phase 4 • Development of guideline document on the management of the air quality monitoring stations
Phase 5 • Project close out report and recommendations
The project closes in January 2011.
